Rabbit anti-MKK4 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-657A-T maps to a region between residue 50 and 100 of human dual specificity mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 4 using the numbering given in entry NP_003001.1 (GeneID 6416).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to MKK4 immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
MAPKK4 (mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 4) is a dual specificity protein kinase that belongs to the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. MAPKK4 is a direct activator of MAP kinases in response to various environmental stresses or mitogenic stimuli. It has been shown to activate MAPK8/JNK1, MAPK9/JNK2, and MAPK14/p38, but not MAPK1/ERK2 or MAPK3/ERK3. This kinase is phosphorylated, and thus activated by MAP3K1/MEKK. Studies in knockout mice suggest that MAPKK4 mediates survival signals in T cell development. It may also be important to liver organogenesis.[taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (GeneID: 6416)].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
