Rabbit anti-MM-1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A304-049A-T maps to a region between residue 1 to 50 of human Prefoldin Subunit 5 using the numbering given in entry NP_002615.2 (GeneID 5204).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to MM-1 immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
Myc modulator 1 (MM-1) is also known as Prefoldin subunit 5. MM-1 binds specifically to cytosolic chaperonin (c-CPN) and transfers target proteins to it. MM-1 binds to nascent polypeptide chain and promotes folding in an environment in which there are many competing pathways for non-native proteins. MM-1 has been show to represses the transcriptional activity of MYC [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q99471].
Alternate Names
c-myc binding protein; c-Myc-binding protein Mm-1; MM1; MM-1; Myc modulator 1; myc modulator-1; PFD5; prefoldin subunit 5
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
