Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to MMACHC immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A304-541A-T maps to a region between residue 175 to 225 of human Methylmalonic Aciduria and Homocystinuria Type C Protein using the numbering given in entry NP_056321.2 (GeneID 25974).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

Methylmalonic aciduria and homocystinuria type C protein (MMACHC) may be involved in the binding and intracellular trafficking of cobalamin (vitamin B12) [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9Y4U1].

25974
MMACHC
metabolism of cobalamin associated C
Q9Y4U1
Methylmalonic aciduria and homocystinuria type C protein

Alternate Names

cblC; cyanocobalamin reductase (cyanide-eliminating); methylmalonic aciduria (cobalamin deficiency) cblC type, with homocystinuria; methylmalonic aciduria and homocystinuria type C protein

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
