Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to NCBP1/CBP80 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00660 maps to a region between residue 482 and 532 of human nuclear cap binding protein subunit 1 (80 kDa nuclear cap-binding protein) using the numbering given in entry NP_002477.1 (GeneID 4686).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

Nuclear cap binding protein subunit 1 (NCBP1) is part of the cap-bnding protein complex that associates with the 5’ cap structure of mRNAs to facilitate transcript stability, splicing efficiency, and 3’end formation.

Alternate Names

80 kDa nuclear cap-binding protein; CBP80; NCBP; NCBP 80 kDa subunit; nuclear cap binding protein subunit 1, 80kDa; nuclear cap-binding protein subunit 1; Sto1

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
