Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to NEK9 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A301-138A-T maps to a region between residue 675 and 725 of human NIMA related kinase 9 using the numbering given in entry NP_149107.3 (GeneID 91754).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

NEK9 is a member of the NIMA-related serine/threonine kinases that play a role in mitotic progression. NEK9 plays a specific role in spindle organization and is necessary for accurate chromosome segregation. NEK9 may cooperate with the Ran-GTPase to regulate spindle formation. NEK6 and NEK7 are downstream substrates of NEK9 and may function cooperatively with NEK9 in mitotic spindle formation and maintenance.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
