Rabbit anti-Neurofibromin 1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-140A maps to a region between residue 2760 and the C-terminus (residue 2818) of human Neurofibromin 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_000258.1 (GeneID 4763)
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Neurofibromin immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-140A-T maps to a region between residue 2760 and the C-terminus (residue 2818) of human Neurofibromin 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_000258.1 (GeneID 4763)
Additional Product Information
Inactivating mutations in NF1 (neurofibromin 1) result in neurofibromatosis type I (NF1) which is characterized by Schwann cell neurofibromas, café-au-lait spots, and benign lesions of the iris. At the cellular level, NF1 functions as a negative regulator of Ras activity. Loss of NF1 leads to increased levels of active Ras-GTP which is important for the formation and maintenance of Schwann cell tumors.
Alternate Names
neurofibromatosis 1; neurofibromatosis-related protein NF-1; neurofibromin; NFNS; truncated neurofibromin 1; VRNF; WSS
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
