Rabbit anti-NMNAT1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A304-317A maps to a region between residue 229 to 279 of human Nicotinamide Nucleotide Adenylyltransferase 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_073624.2 (GeneID 64802).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to NMNAT1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A304-317A-T maps to a region between residue 229 to 279 of human Nicotinamide Nucleotide Adenylyltransferase 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_073624.2 (GeneID 64802).
Additional Product Information
Nicotinamide mononucleotide adenylyltransferase 1 (NMNAT1) catalyzes the formation of NAD(+) from nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) and ATP. NMNAT1 is an enzyme which catalyzes a key step in the biosynthesis of the coenzyme NAD. NMNAT1 is one of several nicotinamide nucleotide adenylyltransferases. Studies in Drosophila and mammalian neurons have shown NMNAT1 can confer protection to damaged neurons. This protection requires enzymatic activity which increases NAD levels and activates a nuclear deacetylase which is the protective molecul [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 64802)].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
