Rabbit anti-Phospho BRCA1 (S1466) Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
Immunogen for A300-011A was a phosphorylated synthetic peptide, which represented a portion of human Breast Cancer Gene 1 (GeneID 672) around serine 1466 according to the numbering given in entry NP_009225.1.
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
BRCA1 was identified as a gene with germline mutations that predisposes women to breast and ovarian cancer. The BRCA1 tumor suppressor is a large protein that has been demonstrated to interact with a multitude of proteins involved in the DNA damage response and cell cycle checkpoints to maintain genomic integrity. BRCA1 functions by regulating the activities of its interacting proteins which mediate processes such as gene transcription, gene repression, protein phosphorylation, and ubiquitination.
Alternate Names
BRCA1/BRCA2-containing complex, subunit 1; BRCAI; BRCC1; breast and ovarian cancer susceptibility protein 1; breast cancer 1, early onset; breast cancer type 1 susceptibility protein; BROVCA1; early onset breast cancer 1; Fanconi anemia, complementation group S; FANCS; IRIS; PNCA4; PPP1R53; protein phosphatase 1, regulatory subunit 53; PSCP; RING finger protein 53; RING-type E3 ubiquitin transferase BRCA1; RNF53
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
