Rabbit anti-Phospho RPS6 (S235/236) Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
Immunogen for A300-584A was a phosphorylated synthetic peptide, which represented a portion of human Ribosomal Protein S6 (GeneID 6194) around serine 235 and serine 236 according to the numbering given in entry NP_001001.2.
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using a synthetic peptide representing phosphorylation at serine 235 and serine 236 and surrounding residues of RPS6 immobilized on solid support.
Immunogen for A300-584A-T was a phosphorylated synthetic peptide, which represented a portion of human Ribosomal Protein S6 (GeneID 6194) around serine 235 and serine 236 according to the numbering given in entry NP_001001.2.
Additional Product Information
Ribosomal protein S6 (RPS6) is a component of the 40S ribosomal subunit. Ribosomes are composed of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit that function to catalyze protein synthesis. RPS6 is phosphorylated by many cellular kinases including ribosomal protein S6 kinase that is regulated via the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway. RPS6 has been demonstrated to be important in regulating cell size, glucose homeostasis, and translational control of mRNA.
Alternate Names
40S ribosomal protein S6; phosphoprotein NP33; S6; small ribosomal subunit protein eS6
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
