Rabbit anti-PICALM/CALM Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A305-301A maps to a region between residue 602 to 652 of human Phosphatidylinositol-binding clathrin assembly protein using the numbering given in entry Q13492.2 (GeneID 8301).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to PICALM/CALM immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A305-301A-T maps to a region between residue 602 to 652 of human Phosphatidylinositol-binding clathrin assembly protein using the numbering given in entry Q13492.2 (GeneID 8301).
Additional Product Information
PICALM/CALM is a clathrin assembly protein, which recruits clathrin and adaptor protein complex 2 (AP2) to cell membranes at sites of coated-pit formation and clathrin-vesicle assembly. The protein may be required to determine the amount of membrane to be recycled, possibly by regulating the size of the clathrin cage. PICALM/CALM is involved in AP2-dependent clathrin-mediated endocytosis at the neuromuscular junction [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 8301)].
Alternate Names
CALM; clathrin assembly lymphoid myeloid leukemia protein; CLTH; LAP; phosphatidylinositol-binding clathrin assembly protein
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
