Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to PMPCA immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A305-520A maps to a region between residue 25 to 75 of human Mitochondrial-processing peptidase subunit alpha using the numbering given in entry Q10713.2 (GeneID 23203).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

PMPCA is found in the mitochondrion, where it represents the alpha subunit of a proteolytic heterodimer. This heterodimer is responsible for cleaving the transit peptide from nuclear-encoded mitochondrial proteins [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 23203)].

23203
PMPCA
peptidase, mitochondrial processing alpha subunit
Q10713
Mitochondrial-processing peptidase subunit alpha

Alternate Names

Alpha-MPP; cerebellar ataxia 1 (autosomal recessive); Cerebellar ataxia-1; CLA1; CPD3; inositol polyphosphate-5-phosphatase, 72 kD; INPP5E; mitochondrial matrix processing protease, alpha subunit; mitochondrial-processing peptidase subunit alpha; P-55; SCAR2

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
