Rabbit anti-PSMD5/26S Proteasome Subunit S5B Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A304-999A maps to a region between residue 325 to 375 of human 26S proteasome non-ATPase regulatory subunit 5 using the numbering given in entry Q16401.3 (GeneID 5711).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to PSMD5/26S Proteasome Subunit S5B immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A304-999A-T maps to a region between residue 325 to 375 of human 26S proteasome non-ATPase regulatory subunit 5 using the numbering given in entry Q16401.3 (GeneID 5711).
Additional Product Information
PSMD5/26S Proteasome Subunit S5B acts as a chaperone during the assembly of the 26S proteasome, specifically of the base subcomplex of the PA700/19S regulatory complex (RC). In the initial step of the base subcomplex assembly is part of an intermediate PSMD5:PSMC2:PSMC1:PSMD2 module which probably assembles with a PSMD10:PSMC4:PSMC5:PAAF1 module followed by dissociation of PSMD5 [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q16401].
Alternate Names
26S protease subunit S5 basic; 26S proteasome non-ATPase regulatory subunit 5; 26S proteasome subunit S5B; proteasome (prosome, macropain) 26S subunit, non-ATPase, 5; S5B
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
