Rabbit anti-RAP80 IHC Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by IHC-00461 maps to a region between residue 650 and the C-terminus (residue 719) of human Receptor Associated Protein 80 using the numbering given in entry NP_057374.3 (GeneID 51720).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RAP80 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by IHC-00461-T maps to a region between residue 650 and the C-terminus (residue 719) of human Receptor Associated Protein 80 using the numbering given in entry NP_057374.3 (GeneID 51720).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
RAP80 was first identified as a nuclear protein that interacts with the retinoid-related testis-associated receptor (RTR) and is able to inhibit the interaction of RTR with the N-CoR co-repressor. RAP80 has also been shown to interact with estrogen receptor alpha (ER-alpha) and modulate its activity. The modulation of ER-alpha activity is dependent on the ubiquitin-interacting motif (UIM) of RAP80. The UIM of RAP80 has also been demonstrated to be important for the BRCA1-dependent DNA repair response.
Alternate Names
BRCA1-A complex subunit RAP80; RAP80; receptor-associated protein 80; retinoid X receptor-interacting protein 110; Ubiquitin interaction motif-containing protein 1; X2HRIP110
Applications
Epitope exposure is recommended.
Epitope exposure with tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.
Likely to work with frozen sections.
In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
