Rabbit anti-RCH1/KPNA2 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-484A maps to a region between residue 475 and the C-terminus (residue 529) of human RAG cohort 1 (Karyopherin Alpha 2) using the numbering given in entry NP_002257.1 (GeneID 3838).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RCH1/KPNA2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-484A-T maps to a region between residue 475 and the C-terminus (residue 529) of human RAG cohort 1 (Karyopherin Alpha 2) using the numbering given in entry NP_002257.1 (GeneID 3838).
Additional Product Information
The import of proteins from the cytoplasm to the nucleus involves docking the protein to receptors associated with the nuclear pore complex followed by translocation through the nuclear pore. RCH1 is an adaptor protein that recognizes the nuclear localization signal (NLS) on cargo and binds the karyopherin importin-beta receptor for nuclear import which is regulated by RanGTP.
Alternate Names
importin subunit alpha-1; importin subunit alpha-2; importin-alpha-P1; IPOA1; karyopherin alpha 2 (RAG cohort 1, importin alpha 1); Karyopherin subunit alpha-2; pendulin; QIP2; RAG cohort protein 1; RCH1; SRP1alpha; SRP1-alpha
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
