Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RFX1 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A303-043A maps to a region between residue 929 and 979 of human Regulatory Factor X, 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_002909.4 (GeneID 5989).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Regulatory factor X, 1 (RFX1) is a member of the regulatory factor X gene family, which encodes transcription factors that contain a highly-conserved winged helix DNA binding domain. The protein encoded by this gene is structurally related to regulatory factors X2, X3, X4, and X5. It is a transcriptional activator that can bind DNA as a monomer or as a heterodimer with RFX family members X2, X3, and X5, but not with X4. This protein binds to the X-boxes of MHC class II genes and is essential for their expression [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 5989)].

Applications
