Rabbit anti-RPL5 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A303-933A maps to a region between residue 247 and 297 of human Ribosomal Protein L5 using the numbering given in entry NP_000960.2 (GeneID 6125).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RPL5 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A303-933A-T maps to a region between residue 247 and 297 of human Ribosomal Protein L5 using the numbering given in entry NP_000960.2 (GeneID 6125).
Additional Product Information
Ribosomal protein L5 (RPL5) is required for rRNA maturation and formation of the 60S ribosomal subunits. RPL5 binds 5S RNA. Defects in the RPL5 gene are the cause of Diamond-Blackfan anemia type 6 (DBA6), a congenital non-regenerative hypoplastic anemia that usually presents early in infancy [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P46777].
Alternate Names
60S ribosomal protein L5; L5; large ribosomal subunit protein uL18; MSTP030; PPP1R135; protein phosphatase 1, regulatory subunit 135; uL18
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
