Rabbit anti-RPL8/Ribosomal Protein L8 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A305-059A maps to a region between residue 100 to 150 of human 60S ribosomal protein L8 using the numbering given in entry P62917.2 (GeneID 6132).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RPL8/Ribosomal Protein L8 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A305-059A-T maps to a region between residue 100 to 150 of human 60S ribosomal protein L8 using the numbering given in entry P62917.2 (GeneID 6132).
Additional Product Information
The gene RPL8 encodes 60S ribosomal protein L8 that is a component of the 60S subunit. The protein belongs to the L2P family of ribosomal proteins and is located in the cytoplasm. In rat, the protein associates with the 5. 8S rRNA, very likely participates in the binding of aminoacyl-tRNA, and is a constituent of the elongation factor 2-binding site at the ribosomal subunit interface [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 6132)].
Alternate Names
60S ribosomal protein L8; L8; large ribosomal subunit protein uL2
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
