Rabbit anti-SCYL2 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A304-879A maps to a region between residue 825 to 875 of human SCY1-like protein 2 using the numbering given in entry Q6P3W7.1 (GeneID 55681).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SCYL2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A304-879A-T maps to a region between residue 825 to 875 of human SCY1-like protein 2 using the numbering given in entry Q6P3W7.1 (GeneID 55681).
Additional Product Information
SCY1-like protein 2 (SCYL2) is a component of AP2-containing clathrin coated structures at the plasma membrane or of endocytic coated vesicles. According to PubMed:15809293, it is a probable serine/threonine-protein kinase that phosphorylates, in vitro, the beta2-subunit of the plasma membrane adapter complex AP2 and other proteins in presence of poly-L-lysine. According to PubMed:16914521, it has no detectable kinase activity in vitro. SCYL2 may regulate clathrin-dependent trafficking between the TGN and/or the endosomal system [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q6P3W7].
Alternate Names
coated vesicle-associated kinase of 104 kDa; CVAK104; SCY1-like 2; SCY1-like protein 2; SCY1-like, kinase-like 2
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
