Rabbit anti-SPAK Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-466A maps to a region between residue 425 and 450 of human STE20/SPS1-related proline-alanine-rich protein kinase using the numbering given in entry AAC72238.1 (GeneID 27347).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SPAK immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A302-466A-T maps to a region between residue 425 and 450 of human STE20/SPS1-related proline-alanine-rich protein kinase using the numbering given in entry AAC72238.1 (GeneID 27347).
Additional Product Information
STE20/SPS1-related proline-alanine rich protein kinase (SPAK) is a serine/threonine kinase that is thought to function in the cellular stress response pathway. This kinase is activated in response to hypotonic stress, leading to phosphorylation of several cation-chloride-coupled cotransporters. Catalytically active SPAK specifically activates the p38 MAP kinase pathway, and its interaction with p38 decreases upon cellular stress, suggesting that this kinase may serve as an intermediate in the response to cellular stress [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (GeneID: 27347)].
Alternate Names
DCHT; PASK; proline-alanine-rich STE20-related kinase; serine threonine kinase 39 (STE20/SPS1 homolog, yeast); serine/threonine-protein kinase 39; small intestine SPAK-like kinase; SPAK; STE20/SPS1 homolog; STE20/SPS1-related proline-alanine-rich protein kinase; Ste20-like protein kinase; ste-20-related kinase
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
