Rabbit anti-SPTLC1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A303-407A maps to a region between residue 50 and 100 of human Serine Palmitoyltransferase, Long Chain Base Subunit 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_006406.1 (GeneID 10558).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Additional Product Information
Serine palmitoyltransferase (SPT), which consists of two different subunits, is the key enzyme in sphingolipid biosynthesis. It converts L-serine and palmitoyl-CoA to 3-oxosphinganine with pyridoxal 5'-phosphate as a cofactor. SPTLC1 (serine palmitoyltransferase, long chain base subunit 1 is the long chain base subunit 1 of serine palmitoyltransferase. Mutations in SPTLC1 were identified in patients with hereditary sensory neuropathy type 1 [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 10558)].
Alternate Names
HSAN1; HSN1; LBC1; LCB 1; LCB1; long chain base biosynthesis protein 1; serine C-palmitoyltransferase; serine palmitoyltransferase 1; serine-palmitoyl-CoA transferase 1; SPT 1; SPT1; SPTI
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
