Rabbit anti-SRPK1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-461A maps to a region between residue 275 and 325 of human SFRS protein kinase 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_003128.3 (GeneID 6732).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SRPK1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A302-461A-T maps to a region between residue 275 and 325 of human SFRS protein kinase 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_003128.3 (GeneID 6732).
Additional Product Information
Serine/arginine rich protein-specific kinase 1 (SRPK1) plays a central role in the regulatory network for splicing by controlling the intranuclear distribution of splicing factors in interphase cells and the re-organization of nuclear speckles during mitosis. During metaphase, SRPK1 hyperphosphorylates RS domain-containing proteins such as SFRS1 and SFRS2 on serine residues. SRPK1 also appears to mediate HBV core protein phosphorylation which is a prerequisite for pregenomic RNA encapsidation into viral capsids [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q96SB4].
Alternate Names
Serine/arginine-rich protein-specific kinase 1; serine/arginine-rich splicing factor kinase 1; serine/threonine-protein kinase SRPK1; SFRS protein kinase 1; SFRSK1; SR-protein-specific kinase 1; SRSF protein kinase 1
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
