Rabbit anti-Stanniocalcin 2 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-369A maps to a region between residue 252 and 302 of human stanniocalcin 2 using the numbering given in entry P_003705.1 (GeneID 8614).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Stanniocalcin 2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A302-369A-T maps to a region between residue 252 and 302 of human stanniocalcin 2 using the numbering given in entry P_003705.1 (GeneID 8614).
Additional Product Information
Stanniocalcin 2 is a secreted, homodimeric glycoprotein that is expressed in a wide variety of tissues and may have autocrine or paracrine functions. The protein has 10 of its 15 cysteine residues conserved among stanniocalcin family members and is phosphorylated by casein kinase 2 exclusively on its serine residues. Its C-terminus contains a cluster of histidine residues which may interact with metal ions. Stanniocalcin 2 may play a role in the regulation of renal and intestinal calcium and phosphate transport, cell metabolism, or cellular calcium/phosphate homeostasis. Constitutive overexpression of human stanniocalcin 2 in mice resulted in pre- and postnatal growth restriction, reduced bone and skeletal muscle growth, and organomegaly. Expression of this gene is induced by estrogen and is altered in some breast cancers [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (GeneID: 8614)].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
