Rabbit anti-SYK Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-559A maps to a region between residues 350 and 400 of human Spleen Tyrosine Kinase using the numbering given in entry NP_003168.2 (GeneID 6850).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SYK immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-559A-T maps to a region between residues 350 and 400 of human Spleen Tyrosine Kinase using the numbering given in entry NP_003168.2 (GeneID 6850).
Additional Product Information
SYK (spleen tyrosine kinase) is a ubiquitously expressed tyrosine kinase that functions in mediating B and T-cell receptor signaling and is also important to various aspects of leukocyte function that involve cytoskeleton remodeling. In mediating hematopoietic cell signaling, SYK is a substrate of src family kinase activity and is a key-regulator of Akt kinase activity. SYK has also been found to be highly expressed in the mammary gland and has been shown to inhibit tumor growth and metastasis. Invasive breast tumor cell lines have been shown to exhibit reduced or absent levels of SYK, further implicating a role in tumorigenesis and metastasis.
Alternate Names
p72-Syk; spleen tyrosine kinase; tyrosine-protein kinase SYK
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
