The epitope recognized by A303-228A maps to a region between residue 600 and 650 of human TATA Element Modulatory Factor 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_009045.2 (GeneID 7110).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to TMF1 immobilized on solid support.

TATA element modulatory factor (TFM1), also known as androgen receptor-associated protein of 160 kDa (ARA160), is a potential co-activator of the androgen receptor. TFM1 mediates STAT3 degradation. It also may play critical roles in two RAB6-dependent retrograde transport processes: one from endosomes to the Golgi and the other from the Golgi to the ER. This protein binds the HIV-1 TATA element and inhibits transcriptional activation by the TATA-binding protein (TBP) [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ P82094].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
