Rabbit anti-UBQLN4/CIP75/Ubiquilin 4 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A305-237A maps to a region between residue 1 to 50 of human Ubiquilin-4 using the numbering given in entry Q9NRR5.2 (GeneID 56893).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to UBQLN4/CIP75/Ubiquilin 4 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A305-237A-T maps to a region between residue 1 to 50 of human Ubiquilin-4 using the numbering given in entry Q9NRR5.2 (GeneID 56893).
Additional Product Information
Ubiquilin-4 (UBQLN4) plays a role in the regulation of protein degradation via the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS). It mediates the proteasomal targeting of misfolded or accumulated proteins for degradation by binding (via UBA domain) to their polyubiquitin chains and by interacting (via ubiquitin-like domain) with the subunits of the proteasome. UBQLN4 Plays a role in the regulation of the proteasomal degradation of non-ubiquitinated GJA1 (By similarity). It acts as an adapter protein that recruits UBQLN1 to the autophagy machinery and mediates the association of UBQLN1 with autophagosomes and the autophagy-related protein LC3 (MAP1LC3A/B/C) and may assist in the maturation of autophagosomes to autolysosomes by mediating autophagosome-lysosome fusion (PubMed:23459205) [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 56893)].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
