The epitope recognized by A304-817A maps to a region between residue 515 to 565 of human Ubiquitin Specific Peptidase 39 using the numbering given in entry Q53GS9.2 (GeneID 10713).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to USP39 immobilized on solid support.

USP39 plays a role in pre-mRNA splicing as a component of the U4/U6-U5 tri-snRNP, one of the building blocks of the spliceosome. USP39 regulates AURKB mRNA levels, and thereby plays a role in cytokinesis and in the spindle checkpoint. USP39 does not have ubiquitin-specific peptidase activity, but could be a competitor of ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolases (UCHs) [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q53GS9].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
