Rabbit anti-UVRAG Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-996A maps to a region between residue 649 and 699 of human UV radiation resistance associated gene using the numbering given in entry NP_003360.2 (GeneID 7405).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to UVRAG immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A301-996A-T maps to a region between residue 649 and 699 of human UV radiation resistance associated gene using the numbering given in entry NP_003360.2 (GeneID 7405).
Additional Product Information
UV radiation resistance associated gene (UVRAG) was first identified as a gene that could complement UV sensitivity in xeroderma pigmentosum cells. UVRAG may have tumor suppressor activity as mutations in the UVRAG gene have been associated with various human colon cancer cells and tissues. UVRAG has been shown to interact with Beclin 1 (Bcl-2-interacting protein), a protein that forms a complex with class III PI-3-kinase (PI3KC3) and is involved in autophagy. In this complex, UVRAG is proposed to function as a positive regulator of autophagy and a negative regulator of the growth of tumor cells.
Alternate Names
beclin 1 binding protein; DHTX; disrupted in heterotaxy; p63; UV radiation resistance-associated gene protein; VPS38
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
