Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to VAT1 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A305-560A maps to a region between residue 1 to 50 of human Synaptic vesicle membrane protein VAT-1 homolog using the numbering given in entry Q99536.2 (GeneID 10493).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to VAT1 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A305-560A-T maps to a region between residue 1 to 50 of human Synaptic vesicle membrane protein VAT-1 homolog using the numbering given in entry Q99536.2 (GeneID 10493).

Additional Product Information

Vesicle amine transport 1 (VAT1) is an abundant integral membrane protein of cholinergic synaptic vesicles and is thought to be involved in vesicular transport. It belongs to the quinone oxidoreductase subfamily of zinc-containing alcohol dehydrogenase proteins [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 10493)].

Alternate Names

membrane protein of cholinergic synaptic vesicles; synaptic vesicle membrane protein VAT-1 homolog; VATI; vesicle amine transport protein 1 homolog (T. californica)

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
